Pastor Aaron's Bio, continued
Pastor Aaron Syvertsen joined the pastoral staff in December 2024. He and his wife, Rochelle, have four children: Kaden (10), Brinley (8), Graham (6) and Loren (6), who love being active together, exploring the outdoors, and playing every kind of sport and game there is.
After graduating from The College of New Jersey, Aaron worked as a financial analyst for a Wall Street firm in NYC for 5 years. As he began and grew his career in finance, he was also leading a young adult ministry at his home church, Grace Church in Ridgewood, NJ. As the ministry expanded and God continued to stir his heart for pastoral ministry and the local church, the leadership approached him about coming on staff and beginning seminary online. Pastor Aaron and Rochelle prayerfully accepted this call, joining the staff in July 2015 and enrolling online at Southern Seminary (Louisville, KY). After 18 months as an Associate, Pastor Aaron became the Senior Pastor in January 2017 and served in that role for 7 years.
In the summer of 2024, the Syvertsens made the decision to relocate back to Rochelle's home state of Wisconsin and begin a new chapter in the life of their family and ministry. Pastor Aaron was drawn to Cornerstone's mission and the missional context of Ozaukee County and is blessed to partner in a gospel-centered ministry with the faith community at Cornerstone in such a way that will bring Glory to God, significantly impact the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and see people formed and transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
